Thai yoga massage

Thai yoga massage

Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing method that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. The effects of the treatment are enhanced when the patient is fully relaxed and breathing deeply.

Traditional Thai massage rarely uses oils or lotions, and the patient remains clothed during the treatment. Bodily contact between the practitioner and the patient is constant. Instead of rubbing the muscles, the body is compressed, stretched and rocked to release energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses the thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet to create a dance of movements on the patient’s body. This process opens joints, stretches muscles and tendons, tones internal organs and balances energy. The overall effect is deep relaxation, rejuvenation and physical and mental well-being.
