Reflexology
Reflexology is a massage performed on the feet, hands and ears to stimulate reflexes throughout the body.
It’s a great way to stimulate healing without having to access the affected area.
Foot reflexology can be a deeply relaxing and therapeutic method for people suffering from plantar fasciitis, ankle injuries, or even for work or leisure.
Whether you work in the office, factory, field, hospital or elsewhere, chances are you put a lot of pressure on your feet on a daily basis. Stress doesn’t always manifest itself in the back; it can also manifest itself in other parts of the body.
Reflexology is associated with traditional Swedish and sports massage techniques, applied to the foot, calf and upper leg. It relieves pain in toes, ankles and common forms of arthritis. In addition, various stretches can be beneficial. If you experience pain and sensitivity in your foot, heel or calf, feel free to communicate your level of pain to your massage therapist during your session.
Reflexology offers many benefits:
- improved nerve function. As we age, our nerve endings become less sensitive in many parts of the body, particularly the extremities;
- energy levels;
- improved circulation;
- relaxation;
- elimination of toxins;
- stimulation of the nervous system;
- improvement in headaches.
